Nigerian Dwarfs are gentle, playful, affectionate and easy to keep, making them excellent pets. What is really nice about them as potential pets, is they don't need a lot of space, due to their diminutive size.
Nigerian Dwarf goat milk also has the highest levels of butterfat, at approximately 6 – 10% butterfat, as opposed to approximately 2 – 6% for other milk producers. This makes the milk so creamy that it’s often preferred over cow’s milk (Butterfat is what gives milk its sweet flavor.) A well-fed doe can milk anything from 1 liter to 2.8 liters of milk per day.
