Description
Pachypodium geayi is a species of Madagascar Palm that originated from Southwest Madagascar. It has a metallic grey pachycaul trunk and the leaves are thin and grey-green, with a bright pink mid-rib. The plant has white flowers in summer. Pachypodium geayi has a pachycaul trunk that is columnar, thick, elongated, cigar- or bottle-shaped, 3-6 m long, 15-30 cm in diameter at the base, gradually thickened above up to 40-80 cm. Relative slow growing at about 10 cm a year.
