Job Opening: Landscaper at Landosol (Pty) Ltd. Port Edward, KZN
Responsibilities
BASIC PURPOSE: Facilitate the landscaping process by providing coordination and hands-on support to the landscaping team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, and maintaining gardens and outdoor areas.
- Act as a point of contact for the landscaping team, clients, and supervisors throughout the landscaping process, ensuring clear communication and scheduling.
- Support landscaping initiatives by serving as a company ambassador, including at community events and exhibitions, as well as promoting sustainable landscaping practices.
- Assist the landscaping team with site assessments, design implementation, and maintenance as required.
- Initiate and follow up on the procurement of landscaping materials and equipment. Ensure that all materials are sourced and delivered on schedule.
- Facilitate the workflow of landscaping projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a safety environment related to landscaping practices, handling of tools and operating machinery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Matric Certificate or equivalent. Some post-secondary education or courses in horticulture or landscape design preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience in landscaping or a related field.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: The perfect candidate will be a young energetic, creative and responsible individual with extensive plant knowledge. A solid background in sales, knowledge of, or ability to learn landscape design software is advantageous. We are particularly interested in someone who leads a stable and sober lifestyle. A valid driver's licence is necessary.
In addition, the candidate must be proactive, organised, accurate, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously. Must demonstrate adaptability to changing project requirements or unforeseen circumstances. Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging with team members and clients.
