Description

The bottle bush (Callistemon Citrinus) is an Australian native, a beautiful evergreen woody shrub with bright red cylindrical shaped flowers that resembles a traditional bottle brush. The flowers with its long, bristly red spikes appear early summer to autumn and are a great attraction for nectar feeding wild life including insects, butterflies and sun birds. Plants usually reaches 4 meters and grow in a variety of soils, but do particularly well in damp or wet conditions in a sunny spot.
