Description

The Chocolate Croton, sometimes also called the Caricature or Jamaican Croton, is a tropical plant that is native to Indonesia and Malaysia. It is a popular houseplant due to its colorful foliage and ease of care. The leaves of the Chocolate Croton are large and oval-shaped, with a glossy texture. The leaves have a chocolate brown color with shades of pink that makes them stand out from other crotons. Sometimes the centre shade can change to orange or purple.

The Crotons are small, beautiful and unique shrubs that typically stay small to medium-sized, with an average height of 900cm. It has a slow growth rate that can take several years to reach its full size. Crotons are native to the tropical regions of Africa and Asia, so it prefers warm, humid climates. Croton plants require a minimum of four hours of sun exposure per day. Light exposure should be bright but indirect. Not enough sun will cause the leaves to lack variegation.
