Description
White Feather Hosta is a specialty hosta cultivar known for its unique pale-white leaves. The new improved version has thicker leaves than it's original parent which makes it more robust. However, due to its lack of chlorophyll it still needs to be kept out of direct sun as sunlight can burn the pale foliage. While the young leaves are white at the beginning, they do become more of a variegated, blended pale green and white tone later on. If the plant has too much direct sun, the leaves will turn green from the start. Hosta ‘White Feather’ has lavender flowers in mid-summer.
