Description
Tradescantia pallida, also known as purple queen, purple heart, or purple secretia, is a fast-growing evergreen perennial native to Mexico. It produces dark purple foliage and can be grown as a groundcover, bedding plant, or houseplant. The plant belongs to the spiderwort family and is similar to other species in the Tradescantia genus. The cultivar T. pallida 'Purpurea' is a popular ornamental plant with outstanding colours.
